Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Sacramento peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Was in the mood for some shrimp and chips, and this place nailed it! Service was kind and quick. Got the shrimp combo (1 piece of fish) and it came with a couple of onion rings. Couldnβt be happier about this choice! If you are in the area, donβt skip on this treat. Parking is a bit limited, with about 3 spots behind the restaurant. I got lucky and secured a spot. This mom and pop joint is now added to the rotation whenever Iβm in Sac. Thanks again!

Just like I remembered! I get up eating HS Salt fish and chips. I was very happy to learn that there was one in Sacramento. I got the happy meal which consisted of two pieces of fish, one chicken stick and fries. I also got a side of fried mushrooms. Everything was hot, fresh and cooked to order. I was even asked if I'd like salt on the fries before they were salted. The prices were very reasonable and the food was quite tasty. I will be visible again soon.

Great little Mom & Pop shop. Did was great but parking is an issue. Only has 3 parking spots but it does have an alley way that people were using to park but I got a ticket for parking in the alley way. No signs saying "No parking" posted in the alley. Kind of ruined my day but the food is great.

Appreciate the "mom and pop" ownership and learning about the brand's long history. Orders are made on-demand so expect to wait a minute. Calling ahead would be best. Fish was 9/10, Veg-A-Bomb a solid 7/10, onion rings were 8/10, zucchini was a 6/10, for me. Would like to try their other seafood options next time. Prices felt fair for what you get and where we are. Try it!

This is a real hole in the wall jewel and has pretty authentic fish and chips. They have 3 parking spots in the back but otherwise you have to look for street parking. The ambiance is small old diner with 6 tables. They have some plaques with the shields of various countries in England, but that is it. No bathrooms. You are not coming here for the ambiance. You are coming here for the food. Their menu is on the top wall and includes entrees of fish and other seafood. We ordered the 2 piece fish and chips with zucchini and mushrooms and a couple of fountains drinks. The fish was wonderful - light crispy breading, soft nicely cooked fish, which was easy to chew and not overcooked, the perfect amount of salt added. It came with tartar sauce and melt vinegar, both of which were great. The zucchini was very nice and interesting - fried, crunchy, salty. The mushrooms were ok. I expected them to be more fried. We ordered coke but got Sierra mist or something similar, not coke. The prices are unbeatable. They even have fresh beer and it is very cheap. The couple managing the restaurant are very nice. Service is a little slow because everything is made fresh, but it is worth it. You feel
